This drone has the capability to fly either freely or be tethered to a MYUAV tether station.
Tethered drones are often used for various applications such as surveillance, monitoring, and inspection where stable and secure flight is required for an extended period of time. The tether station provides power and data transfer to the drone while it is in flight.
A tethered drone system typically consists of a drone that is connected to a base station via a tether (a strong cable). The base station provides power to the drone and may also facilitate data transfer and communication between the drone and the ground station. Tethered drone systems have a few advantages over traditional free-flying drones, such as extended flight times, increased stability in windy conditions, and the ability to operate in restricted airspaces.
